Stretching along Australia’s remote southern coast, the Great Australian Bight is a vast sweep of ocean bordered by the arid Nullarbor Plain and dramatic limestone cliffs. Its rugged shoreline, clear blue waters and expansive coastal views create one of Australia’s most striking natural landscapes. The region is also an important marine habitat, with southern right whales gathering near the Head of the Bight during their winter breeding season.
